In Android 8 or later, you can set multiple display languages and how you prefer them. Notes 1.4.4 doesn't obey the system settings.

Steps to reproduce

Go to the system settings and set the first preferred language to something that Notes doesn't support (e.g. French, Arabic) and second one to a supported language (e.g. German, Japan).
Open/restart the app and see the app in English instead of the supported one.
