We may be able to use one of these languages without committing to large software landscapes and companies like OMG. If not, we should definitely get inspiration from these languages and the research papers surrounding them when building our own DSL(s). |

There's some interesting work done out there that relates to what we're doing. This post is mostly to collect some of the things I've come across, mostly to do with OMG.
Languages
Architectures
There's a lot of academic research done on this subject. Plenty of papers to read.
Own DSL
Perhaps all of this stuff is too tighly coupled to Eclipse and OMG. Also, it's highly academic, experimental and immature it seems. A more concise and expressive language like Clojure that also is general purpose at its core, is perhaps a safer and more versatile option.
