sBTC Signer Selection

Once the sBTC-v1 SIP is approved we need to select the sBTC-v1 signers. This phase can be started before the SIP is fully approved if we’re confident that the SIP will be approved.

Prerequisites

• The sBTC SIP is in the process of being approved by the community and we have a clear set of requirements for sBTC bootstrap Signers to have to be valid signers. (First partner infra and governance milestone)

Delivery Definition:

• We have a well defined set of signers for sBTC-v1 with a written agreement that they will run sBTC-v1 signers with a specific uptime guarantee.
• The well defined set of signers is clearly communicated to the community.
