Unable to specify a community gallery image in the image_id

No matter what I try, I can't seem to get a community gallery image specified for my Test Kitchen testsuite.
This is the attempt that "feels" the best, but with no solid documentation or pointers, it's very tricky...

Goal: I basically would like to make use of the Rocky 8.8 community gallery image in Test Kitchen.

image_id: /subscriptions/{subscription id goes here}/resourceGroups/{resource group goes here}/providers/Microsoft.Compute/galleries/rocky-dc1c6aa6-905b-4d9c-9577-63ccc28c482a/images/Rocky-8-x86_64/versions/8.8.20230518
