inside packages.json it needs node 0.8+. This should also fix #64 be making clear it will not run on default Ubuntu 12.04 node.

Hello if it can help you :

I've installed Ethercalc on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS
Like for Etherpad on Ubuntu you have to install the PPA of node.js

You can find help in french here http://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/nodejs (fr)

or you can add with :
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:chris-lea/node.js
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install nodejs

It works but I've got a problem to resolve : my content often is hidden (see #63)
