- Download the extension files as a ZIP archive and extract it to a folder.
- Open the Chrome browser and navigate to
chrome://extensions. - Enable "Developer mode" by toggling the switch in the top right corner.
- Click "Load unpacked" and select the folder containing the extracted extension files.
- The Chat Color Stripper extension should now be visible in your Chrome extensions list and have its icon in the browser toolbar.
The extension works automatically when you copy text from chat.openai.com. To use the extension, simply copy text from the website as you normally would. The background colors of the copied text will be removed before it is pasted.
There is no need to enable or disable the extension manually, as it is designed to work seamlessly in the background.
