VattenMedia

A desktop client for watching Twitch streams or VODs using a third party streaming utility.

The software is designed to be used together with streamlink together the media player of your choice.

How to use

• Get Twitch API client ID, client secret, and user ID and add to VattenMediaConfig.json (autogenerated at first boot)
• Install streamlink (https://github.com/streamlink/streamlink/releases)
• Modify path to stream utility binary in VattenMedia.dll.config for value StreamUtilityPath (default is C:\Program Files (x86)\Streamlink\bin\streamlink.exe)
• Launch the program and press the OAuth button to perform OAuth authentication
• Press play on the stream you want to watch

Additional functionality

• Right click a channel to access functionality such as viewing VODs or reading the channel chat

Prerequisites

This application uses WebView2 to perform OAuth authentication. If you run into any problems during authentication process try installing the WebView2 runtime.
