Prequizites

To run the program you must have node.js (we need it for npm), xampp and composer

1. Node: https://nodejs.org/en/download/ (you need to be able to run npm commands in cmd so you can try npm -V to see if you have npm installed)
2. xampp: https://www.apachefriends.org/download.html (preferably get the version that supports php 8.0)
3. composer: https://getcomposer.org/download/

Deployment

1. open xampp control panel and start apache service and mysql service
2. create a database in myphpadmin and call it laravelblog
3. Download the code from this repository (you can use git clone https://github.com/kejdidomi/first_try in cmd if you have git installed)
4. rename the .env.example to .env and inside the .env file change DB_DATABASE=laravel to DB_DATABASE=laravelblog
5. Open 2 command prompts and navigate to the downloaded folder of the project in both of them
6. In the first cmd run php artisan ui tailwindcss --auth if this doesn't work the first time run composer update npm remove laravel-mix npm install laravel-mix --save-dev npm install cross-env --save-dev npm run watch
7. in the second cmd run php artisan migrate, php artisan key:generate and php artisan serve
8. open your browser and follow the link provided after you put php artisan serve
9. from here use credentials to register and then log in and explore the blog
