OMGGGG finally got my build to work + figured out how to verify this + verified it! It does give me better logging 👍 |

I went ahead and rebased
masteronto @SteveVitali 's branch (and also fixed some linter issues).In other words, this is just a copy of #597 but hopefully a copy that will pass the build!
