these don't explain what they are for but appear to be used to pull code and deploy code via maven which we don't need nor use. We use maven directly not some overlay in groovy to do maven stuff plus it seemed very 'ant' like too.
likely was to cleanup other items scripts pulled which are not used either. We simply use maven directly.
