    • Melissa to add the Reporting guidelines to the CoC, send out a reminder to the community to review the addition, and put a deadline on further comments. February 15th will be the deadline, then the RC will review again.

Interest Group Updates

  • Preservation IG (Donald)

    • meeting minutes. York has a new collection policy. There is a new version of FITS that handles video. SFU is migrating out of ContentDM. Jared Whiklo from UoM has a camel-based gsearch replacement that works with 7.x-1.x, which York will be trying out in the near future.
  • Fedora 4 IG (Nick)

    • The IG has not met in a while because they moved to weekly tech calls. New meetings will commence in the next month or so - the date & time need to be adjusted. Most recent tech call was this Wednesday. Meeting minutes. Did some planning for next community sprint (Jan 18-29) with a focus on collection service and PCDM. The IF has some one-time funding for a contractor and has hired Nigel Banks to move CLAW to Ansible for its vagrant set up. Melissa and Nick put together a services agreement which will hopefully be finalized soon. Work should commence next week. This work will not exhaust the funds, so more tasks are still possible afterwards. Also, Fedora Camp! Caltech, April 11 - 13, 2016. Diego Pino (Islandora Committer) will be an instructor.

Islandora Camps

  • iCampBC2
    • Officially scheduled for July 18 - 20, to be held at the Harbour Centre. Hosted by BCELN.
  • iCampMO
    • Finalizing details. Likely to be in October.

New Business

  • Seeking more moderators for listserv (Melissa)
    • user list has first-poster moderation. Looking for a few more people to approve posts so that they don't sit in the queue too long.
  • http://islandora.org/soar (Nick)
    • Nick noticed a redirect from islandora.ca to a private company's website. It's a holdover from Islandora's distant past. He proposes that we should not privilege one company this way and the redirect should be removed. Mark proposes that we ask the involved parties for more details before we get rid of it. Donald verified that there's no reason not to remove, so we will notify TT and remove it in two weeks.

Round Table

  • Mark Baggett: launching several new collections Islandora. DPLA records are ready for review!
  • Mark Jordan: Migration will continue until morale improves.
  • Nick Ruest: York's DIAG is working on preservation documentation. They have published a collection policy and added acknowledgements and licenses to all collection documents. They are also hiring a developer who will report to Nick and be dedicated to YUDL, Islandora, and Fedora.

Next meeting: Jan 22
