If you use a custom media block and media template and this block contains a child block displayed in by using
$this->getChildHtml('child_name_here')this child block will not be rendered when you choose to change the media block when an option is changed. Any ideas on how to tackle this are welcomed. -
Starting Magento version CE 1.9, the simple products for a configurable product are not retrieved with all the attributes. Just a part of them. If you have custom image attributes (other than image, small_image or thumbnail) and you want to use them as labels for the configurable options you need to add them in a config.xml file using this path
